Artist feature: Rodion

Rodion is from Rome. He makes freaked out Italo Disco that’s ahead of its time. Somewhere between German synthesizer funk and Italian horror movies. Heavily influenced by the Japanese science fiction animation soundtracks of the 70’s and the cosmic music culture, Rodion is fully tuned into the extraterrestrial beat.

Die Sterne vs. Munk

dscf2469

It’s confirmed! It’s done!
Gomma will release the new EP of Germany’s Superband DIE STERNE. The guys were one of the most influencial bands in Germanys 90ies Indie Rock scene. Part of the so called “Hamburger Schule” – which included also bands like TOCOTRONIC and BLUMFELD.

DIE STERNE asked MATHIAS MODICA from MUNK to produce their new EP and so he did. The result are 3 amazing HAMBURG INDIE ROCK vs MUNICH SEQUENZER DISCO songs. They will be released in late October on Gomma..and later on DIE STERNE’s new album in 2010. Here are some pics from the studio sessions in Hamburg…
