Alan1 – Concertmate (Maxi)

Alan 1-final-1200x1200

Cat#: GOMMA DT025
Release date: 27 December 2010

We are happy to release the first Gomma E.P. of 24 year old electronic funk talent Alan1 from Rome. Concertmate includes 3 new tunes + a remix by Bobermann (from Bloody Beatroots). Included also is Sniff Them: A heavy functional clubtune that already was released on an limited vinyl edition by Final Frontier Records. The track can cause big damage on the dancefloor…but only a few people could get hold of it till Gomma decided to release it again.

But the real special thing are the other tracks: Alan1 makes music that is some times serious, then ironic, melodic but still groove oriented. Analogue synths and digital post-production… electro-funk, Chicago, electronica, jazzdisco, acid-house… Whatever you call it.. it is simply sexy Italian dancefloor music… it sounds new and it sounds nice.

Robert Owens: “Great tracks!”
Matt Walsh: “He has a very distinct sound and is fast becoming my favorite artist on Gomma.”
Bottin: “Good stuff”
Tape To Tape: “Love the Alan1 release, great mix of jacking disco funk.”

You might have noticed that – apart of the Italo Disco revival of the last years – there has grown a new generation of kids in Italy that create a new, hot, innovative sound. It is the right time to show this new sound on a compilation. Check out this fabulous collection – compiled by Mathias Modica – our Italian Gommista and the man behind Munk.

Rodion: from Rome who did a great ‘n effective discofunk cover version of Supertramp’s Logical Song. Rodion currently has a big buzz for his last single Estate feat. Louie Austen.
