Gomma News Shortcuts — Week 4

   
–New Gomma artist Cécile is getting so much cool feedback for his new single “Rimmel”: Aeroplane dropped it in their monthly mixtape, Annie Mac played it last weekend on BBC Radio One, and Classixx, Rub’n'Tug and many others are big fans…check the track on the Gomma Dance Tracks E.P.2.
    
–We’re proud to announce another new artist on Gomma: world famous Moullinex! His first 12″ will be out in spring. Check out his remix of Telonius’ “Disco-Tec” and his first release on his own Disco Texas imprint.
   
– Cut Copy’s remix of Munk’s “Back Down” is making more and more waves: Kitsune just licensed it for the next Kitsune Mix CD and Pichforkmedia made a nice review about it.
   
– Vivienne Westwood seems to be a Gomma fan! She is using Munk’s “Down in LA” and the Glimmers Remix of The Phenomenal Handclap Band’s “15 to 20″ for her shows in Tokyo and London.

Gomma News Shortcuts — Week 2

   – Check the new Golden Bug remixes for the In Flagranti single on Codek. In Flagranti chose a nice couple of remixers: Hercules & Love Affair, Riton, and Golden Bug. More info about the single on the Codek website.
    – Be ready for MUNK 2010. No Milk, the last Munk Remix Single with Ben Mono & Mercury Rmxes is currently getting great feedback. From Etienne de Crecy to Mike Monday from Fake Blood to Kissy Sell Out….and even Radio One.*** A new MUNK EP with 4 new songs will be released in May.
    – It’s official now: Piet Parra will release the album of his band LE LE on Gomma in spring. We are happy! Not only because Parra is one of the world’s leading illustrators right now …but because the album is a bomb. Dirty futuristic Techno Funk…first single in March.

Podcast #15: DJ Baldelli

DJ Baldelli is a legend. The undisputed king of the so called “Cosmic Music”…he has been djing at some Gomma parties since 2006…and made a own record for Gomma 3 years ago (Baldelli: Girotondo). He sent us a few rare mixes…here we post one…a mix dating back to 1981 — almost 30 years ago and still ace!

Gomma Dance Tracks E.P. 2 (EP)

After Gomma Dance Tracks has been Remix of the Year on iTunes its time to release some more tracks of upcoming artists: Five discoid house tracks from Italy, Spain, Sweden, France, USA and UK.

Cécile is a new 22-year old musican from Italy. His first remix for Gomma (the L.U.C.A. remix for Munk) was a hit with balearic DJ everywhere, Botox from Paris being one of it’s biggest fans. Here comes the first Cécile track. Sexhouse incl Jazz solos… plus: The Phenomenal Handclap Band remixed by DEN HAAN aka Creme de Menthe; Papa Tango Charly from Marseille do the wild polka house, while Martin Brodin & Dumb Dan from Sweden are getting the Scandinavian minimal funk out. And Telonius remixed by Golden Bug from Barcelona. Bouncy…bouncy..
