Look at this absurd video we got for Morgan Geist’s great remix of The KMDS single “Tonight”.
The guys did a little private party and filmed it… Nono. Of course it’s a old trash movie. And Adam Tarasiuk from Warsaw made some nice new editing and now it fits quite well with the great remix of Metro Area’s mastermind Morgan Geist. (The single is out now on 12″ and vinyl. Album follows in Spring 2012.)
There is so much buzz about this release already – it’s crazy. For our band The KDMS, Morgan Geist did one of his very rare remixes and people seem to love it. We got mails from all kind of DJ’s: From Soul Clap and Tim Sweeney who already played it in his show. Jaymo, Tensnake and Aeroplane who wrote that this is “one of my favorite tracks of the last couple of months to play “. Axel Boman described it as “shimmering little diamonds in the autumn night, this will guide cold dancers towards warm experiences all over the world.” Tom Trago, Pilooski are playing it too. Wow! Rare that so many different DJs love the same tune.
So its a good start for new Gomma band The KDMS. Their debut album will be released in 2012. Expect some more “shimmering little diamonds…”

High Wire is the new slowdisco bomb of Kathy Diamond and Max Skiba aka The KDMS. It’s their second 12inch release on Gomma, but already the buzz is big. Their last Gomma -single “Never Stop Believing” (including the infamous house remix by New York DJ legend Nicky Siano) was huge with DJs from Pilooski to Holy Ghost, Tim Sweeney to Aeroplane.
And it is quite sure that the new one will get no less attention. High Wire can easily be described as a little masterpiece. Just listen to it one time and it will stay in your head. Remixes by Russian newcomers D-Pulse, Gomma’s own Mustang and Kool DJ Dust (with releases on Permanent Vacation and Tronik Youth’s label under his belt).
Kathy Diamond from London & Max Skiba from Poland are busy right now: see also Kathy’s single with Toby Tobias on Radioslave’s label Rekids and another record with Nick Chacona on Mood. Max Skiba (whose last single was featured on Mylo’s Mixmag CD) comes with a single on Under The Shade. We can be sure: 2011 will be big for these two funkster – youngsters.
Tim Sweeney: “Enjoying that Kool DJ Dust mix!” Dimitri from Paris: “I love this, hard to choose between original and remixes.” Ajello: “Really good release. Max could not go wrong! My prefered remix is D-Pulse vocal and Mustang dub as well.” Tronik Youth: “Loving the live dub and the Mustang dub, both killer” Prince Language: “LOVE the original of High Wire – sounds classic but not at all retro. Reminds me of Change. Great summer tune!”
