The KDMS – Kinky Dramas and Magic Stories (CD album)

The ’Indie disco answer to Adele’ and ‘The key band of the New Disco scene”. That’s how The KDMS have been described.

Yes – there is a lot of buzz around Kathy Diamond‘s and Max Skiba‘s band. And if you listen to their debut album you will understand why. A band that connects today’s club music with amazing song writing and the unique voice of great Soul Diva.

Pop, underground, forward thinking and retro at the same time. Music that catches you immediately. That’s probably why they became a favorite of some big pop artists of today. For example: Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip. He teamed up with Justus Köhncke from Kompakt and they did a cover version of the new single “Wonderman”. (On the album). Also the rework that Morgan Geist from Metro Area did for a song is so huge that we have put it on the album.
But… we are talking to much! You have to hear this yourself!

The KDMS “Tonight” (Morgan Geist Remix) (Video)

Look at this absurd video we got for Morgan Geist‘s great remix of The KMDS single “Tonight”.

The guys did a little private party and filmed it… Nono. Of course it’s a old trash movie. And Adam Tarasiuk from Warsaw made some nice new editing and now it fits quite well with the great remix of Metro Area’s mastermind Morgan Geist. (The single is out now on 12″ and vinyl. Album follows in Spring 2012.)

The KDMS “Tonight” Morgan Geist (Metro Area) + Felix Martin (Hot Chip) Remixes (12″)

Gomma_163_KDMS

Cat#: Gomma 163
Release: 25 November 2011

There is so much buzz about this release already – it’s crazy. For our band The KDMS, Morgan Geist did one of his very rare remixes and people seem to love it. We got mails from all kind of DJ’s: From Soul Clap and Tim Sweeney who already played it in his show. Jaymo, Tensnake and Aeroplane who wrote that this is “one of my favorite tracks of the last couple of months to play “. Axel Boman described it as “shimmering little diamonds in the autumn night, this will guide cold dancers towards warm experiences all over the world.” Tom Trago, Pilooski are playing it too. Wow! Rare that so many different DJs love the same tune.

So its a good start for new Gomma band The KDMS. Their debut album will be released in 2012. Expect some more “shimmering little diamonds…”
