Gomma Podcast #91 – Justin Robertson High Lane Mix

9682_10151591003558824_461157192_n

New mixtape by UK DJ legend Justin Robertson aka The Deadstock 33s.
The sound goes quite in the direction of his last year’s releases he did with production partner Daniel Avery and his The Deadstock 33s debut album on Gomma of course. As always Justin explores the far out borders of contemporary dance music.
Did we mention he just released his single “Underneath The Pines”? Including remixes by Disco Bloodbath and Ewan Pearson?
You should check that out. Unbelivable. And there is more to come! The Deadstock 33s remixed by Andy Weatherall aka The Asphodells and Luke Solomon. It’s a Deadstock year!

Gomma Podcast #90: Munk Winter 2013 Mix

The new, marvellous Munk Winter DJ Mix. It comes late, yes, but there is reason: It includes 3 NEW MUNK TRACKS! After 2 years of silence. The upcoming Munk single “Misterio” (Severino Horse Meat Disco & Bonar Blackberry of PBR Streetgang Remixes). Release: end of April. And another unfinished Munk track. The new Munk season starts now!

Apart of that this great mixtape includes many unheard slow house and electronic gadgets. Offbeat by new Gomma artist The Deadstock 33’s (Ewan Pearson Remix), Afro Acid by African 808 and even 90ies downtempo by La Funk Mob from legendary MoWax records.
This is what we call “Outsider House” – or maybe it’s already much more then just house music? For sure it is not the usual average formulated music. This is special.

Tracklist:
1) The Deadstock 33s – Underneath The Pines (Ewan Pearson Remix) (Gomma)
2) Munk – Misterio (Severino Horse Meat Disco Remix) (Gomma)
3) DJ Steef – Unknown Track

The Deadstock 33s – The Pilgrim’s Ghost (Album)

Cat#: Gomma 180 CD
Release: 1 March 2013

We are excited to announce the release of the debut album from Justin Robertson’s The Deadstock 33s, set to drop on March 1st 2013.

The Deadstock 33s is the most recent incarnation of British DJ legend Justin Robertson. Over the past three decades Robertson has helped shape the direction of dance music many times; from his underground DJ sets in Manchester’s early Hacienda days to his Dancehall Techno releases of Lionrock, through his last years partnership with shooting star Daniel Avery (several releases on Gomma). Since one year Justin is back with his The Deadstock 33s project. And everybody wants him: he did remixes for Justice, 2 Bears, Boys Noize. He did a FABRIC mix. Now Robertson is ready to unleash the debut album from The Deadstock. Dub techno, Slo Mo Boogie, Futuristic Disco… whatever you call this – as always Justin is 3 steps ahead.
