The Munkyboy is a freak if it comes to collecting vinyl.
Besides his love for Disco and electronic music he has been buying rare Jazz records since he was 15. Psychedelic Jazz, Hard Bob, Jazz – Rock, Fusion. If you see his home you’ll find an ill combination of crazy, unknown music.
So he started a series of mixtapes – including only music from the 50ies to 70ies. From funky brasil jams to rare Soul Jazz and some more experimental stuff. Enjoy part 2 of this series!

By the way: We opened a temporary bar in Munich. It’s a mix of Bar, club and gallery. Looks crazy and is crazy. Artist Martin Fengel did the whole club in a sick mutated cat design. There is a lot of gold, batik and walls that look like they were made on LSD. This week our graphist Mirko Borsche will do a special installation. Gomma DJs Rhode & Brown, Taran Frisch and other will DJ. Come over – Munich Disco town rocks.

Here comes the next UK act on Gomma’s sublabel Toy Tonics: PBR Streetgang. With past releases on Hot Creations, Wolf, 20/20 Vision and a DJ residency at WE LOVE in Ibiza the guys belong to the finest in UK Techno Funk. Now they joined Toy Tonics – right in the moment when BEATPORT chose TT as “one of 10 visionary labels that will rise to prominence in 2015″.
The 2-tracker comes up with a bomb-remix by newcomer KIAN T. Sounding like Max Graef taking a few MDMA pills to much and getting lost in the vintage synth hell..
Sergio Andretti (Milan based photographer) and Giulia Pex (italian illustrator) made a new video for the last Munk album “Chanson 3000″. They choosed the fabulous COEO remix of Munk’s last single “Cartoon” and did an illustrated mini movie. Filmed in the streets of Milano. Starring friends and local models. The result is pure street – beauty. Fitting perfectly with the song.
