Your favourite Parisan power boogie-bot Toni Harispuru aka Golden Bug went to Brooklyn, had some burger, drinks and met New York City party guru Lou Teti. They played around in a friend’s homestudio and the result is: Play Around. Flashy tribal drums + a big boogie bass + some Cameo kind of spaced out vocals..

The Play Around single includes remixes by Justin Roberston aka The Deadstock 33s from London and newcomer Tad Wily.

Golden Bug is demand right now: A-Trak is a huge fan and asked him for a remix recently. Bang Gang and Kitsune also just wanted remixes of him. Golden Bug – man from Paris. He has been featured on Erol Alkan‘s playlist for weeks (with his LookLookLook track). His new song Flamingo is No 1 on Aeroplanes feb mix. He did big big remixes for Kitsune, Banggang and In Flagranti. And he plays everywhere with his infamous one man show: From Fabric London (with Aeroplane) to Modular parties in Sydney and Vice parties in Amsterdam. And he was on blogs everywhere with bis last Assassin EP.

Golden Bug’s debut Hot Robot album just came out in October. His last single LookLookLook was number one on the Beatport genre charts (check the IN FLAGRANTI Remix) and his tracks are currently featured on the playlist of EROL ALKAN, DJ CHLOE, ADAM FREELAND, BENNY BENASSI and many others.

Bisco is the club anthem of the album. Bringing together Disco Funk and Hip Hop Cut up Vocals and a straight but funky 90ies house beat. The track had already been released on a limited 12inch, now it comes back in three different versions. One very slow cosmic funk version with a hard acid synth going on and a old school 80ies breakdance version. Those will rock dancefloors all over the place!

Electronic Robot Funk from Golden Bug.
Golden Bug lives in Barcelona but comes from Paris. He used to be part of the famous Parisian “Palais du Tokio” skate crew with DJ Falcon and Pedro Winter. His mother used to run legendary Parisian Japanese Toy shop “La Maison du Robot” where all the cool kids hung out. So Golden Bug is a real Robot Kid. That’s why you can hear all the robotic voices in his tracks. He released three singles on Gomma which got amazing feedback. They were played by Djs like Prins Thomas, Jori Hulkkonen, Shit Robot and Digitalism. Now it’s time for the album. 14 killertracks. Between Cosmic disco and new school acid funk.
